Travelling Tennis Coach

As the number of competitive junior tennis athletes in Toronto increases, there is a growing need for tennis coaches to go watch athletes play at competition sites to provide the athlete (and/or parents) with important coaching and feedback support before, during (for parents or for athlete if permitted) and after matches. As a certified tennis coach and former competitive player, I can sit with parents to answer technical questions about the game or to help them better understand how their young athlete is performing during a match. I will help parents identify what to look for and what the next steps might be for the athlete and parent(s) to consider for improvement of skills, fitness, game strategy and overall performance. Cost: $100/hr.

Skill Analysis

I can provide live on-court coaching/analysis or video analysis (ideal for players outside of Toronto) with detailed technical suggestions for improvement for the following:

​

- Serve

- Return of serve

- Ground strokes (forehand or backhand) for rallies, defence, offence, counter attack.

- Approach to the net

- Volleys and overhead smash

- Singles or doubles strategy

- Mental and emotional strategies for competitors of all ages

- Footwork

- Training techniques/strategies to build skill, fitness, consistency, mental toughness.

- Assistance for parents enrolling children in tennis for the first time 

   i) how to select a coach/club/program

   ii) what to look for in a club/coach

   iii) introducing children to competitive play (when, where and how much?) 

Cost: $80/hr
